Planting Tamaracks

I recently stumbled around a Tamarack tree & fell in love.

The needles are incredibly soft, and they are the only deciduous evergreen tree.

So, what did I do? I got three saplings!

Planting in the fall is supposedly the best time so I am curious to see if they survive the winter.

Here is a close up of the super soft needles and teeny cones on the tree I found!
